I quoted 3p to 5p in the article. The rate tends to vary depending upon volume. A very small, new entrant into the market sending out sub-1,000 texts a month is unlikely to get much less than 5p per text. Higher volumes will get you a better bulk deal. If you send out well over 1 million texts a month you can easily get sub-3p although I am yet to see sub-2p rate you quote for smaller volumes. I will mention it the next time i meet MIG.

There are also other matters to consider when choosing an aggregator such as reliability of service, ability to handle volume peaks and fixed monthly connection costs.

Get a grip, sending a text costs less than 2p. If not then change your aggregator, try MIG or Oxygen8 as they'll cut your arm off for 5p, LOL. Thats the kind of price you sell to suckers or ITV/BBC providing you give the right person working there a nice kickback.

Sending a second text does at least mean there is enough space to include a full advert, without diminishing the original answer. Arguably you are straying into the world of spam - ie, an unsolicited text. Ultimately though, you are are sending an unexpected and unwanted advert and that goes a long way to alienating customers such as Andy.

Sending out daily, interesting answers is something we have done through our AQA2U service where texts only cost 25p, whilst Paul does send out these sort of things for free via twitter.

We have a huge demand for jobs. Keep a look out on the website to see when we are recruiting and check out this posting http://www.aqa.63336.com/blog/the-63336/so-you-fancy-a-job-with-63336/ for how to make sure you are sucessful.

I may be in the few, I don't know, but I actively oppose unwelcome advertising. If I believe a website (or whatever) is obviously using me as a marketing statistic, unique user or a figure they can use to sell ad space, I'll stop using it.

Interesting... I agree that its limited use but what about sending a second text that is just a advert.
According to your blog that would cost you roughly 5p and I'm sure most companies would pay a flat rate so you could even generate 20p income per text.

Being a loyal user of 63336 I would opt in for this particualry if it got the price closer to the £1 per text mark.

Have you thought about a subscription? Team up with QI and have a daily Quite Interesting answer. I'd pay 40p a day for that.

Whilst I'm at it, 11GCSEs, 3 A levels... any chance of a job?
