Many of the answers given by applicants were intelligent and showed a genuine interest and knowledge of football (not American football), and an understanding of the UK is clearly an advantage.
It may be a step too far to claim Sean Payton’s time with the Leicester Panthers influenced the outcome of the Super Bowl, but it is always easy to have an idea, make an assumption and run with it.
