Q.Why does the sea never freeze
A.Salt lowers the freezing temperature of water, making it harder for it to freeze. If it gets cold enough, like in the Arctic, it will freeze anyway.
Q.Wot was the name of tv series about a ferry company starring kate o'mara
A.Kate O'Mara famously had to sunbathe topless in Triangle, even though the weather was almost freezing. The show was set aboard a North Sea ferry.
Q.How cold must salt water be to freeze?
A.The temperature at which water freezes depends on the amount of salt in the water. The sea (3.5% salt) freezes at -1.8C, and pure water at 0C.
Q.How are icebergs formed? It doesn't make sense that a lump of sea water just forms without and mould or cast to follow?
A.Icebergs are composed almost entirely of fresh water. Icebergs are pieces of floating ice that calve from glaciers. The sea freezes at -1.8C.
