AQA 63336 September customer story

Whilst we're happy to work out for you how many baked beans would fit in a swimming pool, the nearest pub with a real fire, and whether you should go clubbing tomorrow night, we're also there for you, 24 hours a day, if you need more urgent, important, help of any kind - wherever you are in the world.

The benefits of having saved 63336 in your phone can be enormous: you know you'll always have someone to hand who can help you out within minutes. Thankfully, this customer story is about someone who did have 63336 in her phone, and through the power of AQA 63336 was rescued from a very alarming situation.

Hannah writes:

"I was travelling Australia in August with my Boyfriend Jay, and mate Louise. We were in Cairns, and Louise suggested this walk she heard of called the 'Red and Blue Arrow Walk' through a country park and forest, renowned for casawary. We started the walk at around 4.30pm, and as I'd been there longer than Louise, I knew that it would start to get dark early, so I suggested we took the easier walk...we figured red means danger so we took the Blue.

Little did we know blue was a 5km walk in a circle, in a forest. At 5pm it started to get dark, so we thought it was best to run to the next open section. Finding our way to the lookout, there was a helicopter pad, and we were over looking Cairns airport. As it got darker we realised there was no way out, and that we should be prepared for a cold night of casawary dodging.

So in came super AQA, the only number I knew that could help us was your trusty 63336, so I text asking for the emergency number and the number for the rangers. AQA came through for us and sent the emergency numbers, which we called. We were hoping for a helicopter rescue, but 2 coppers and a torch came and found us. We were cold and very bitten by mosquitos but AQA had rescued us!

Not only that but your very own manager sent me a personal text to check we were ok! What a loverly chappy! We got a lift home in a coppers car aswell!"

Safer pursuits

We were very glad, and relieved, when we got Hannah's text to say they had been rescued by the local police. £100 is on its way to Hannah, as a thank you for sending this story in. We recommend using some of it to buy an emergency torch.
