We Need Answers 2008 - Semi final 2
"We Need Answers" is a quiz with a difference. Top ranking comedians take part in a knock out quiz to find out which one of them is the smartest, funniest, best at limbo dancing, and all round know-it-all. Led by Mark Watson, Tim Key and Alex Horne, all the questions put to comedians were ones that had been texted to AQA 63336.

Cute Colorado girl Kristen Schaal (Flight of the Conchords) went head to head with Alun Cochrane last night in the second semi-final of We Need Answers. It was a hard fought match on both sides, with some epic effort in the Physical Challenge round as both contestants struggled to fit the entire contents of Lidl down their newly donned tracksuit bottoms. This round went on for some time as the audience discovered just how versatile tracksuit bottoms really are. Bananas, teapots, cuddly toys and phones were all emptied into the seemingly bottomless pants until Mark Watson and Tim Key simply ran out of objects in the world to fit down them. The round was decided by a race to find the aforementioned cuddly toy from their new home, which Schaal won in seconds.
Audience questions flooded in for Alex Horne to ask AQA 63336 about. A particular favourite was, "Why does Tim Key look like Jesus?" Cochrane was almost spot on with his observation of Key's Jesus-esque beard and delusions of grandeur. AQA added the sandals might have something to do with it too, while Mark observed Key is actually looking a lot more like fellow comedian Daniel Kitson every day.
In the final quick fire round it seemed very close. Schaal emerged victorious, but was faced with a tricky challenge when asked if she wanted to "double her money from £80 to £100?" The American took up the curious challenge but was flummoxed by the question: "Did Danny Baker contribute to the death of Bob Marley?" Mark explained that Danny Baker was "a bit like Bill Clinton", and Bob Marley was "a bit like Cher". With this added context Schaal was able to correctly deduce that Danny Baker was innocent of any involvement and won her prize.
She returns to the final tomorrow to meet the dedicated quizzer Josie Long in what promises to be the greatest and most all-female of all the We Need Answers finals.
