AQA 63336 based show is now on TV
AQA 63336 passes 17 million questions answered as its brilliant answers debut on BBC comedy show
9 February 2009
A unique game show, with questions and answers taken from the all–knowing brain of the UK's favourite text question and answer service AQA 63336 (Any Question Answered) will be broadcast on national TV later this week, just as AQA 63336 passes 17 million questions answered.
The BBC show "We Need Answers" is based on a sell–out Edinburgh show which debuted in 2007, was nominated for a Chortle innovation award in 2008, and has been developed by award–winning comedians Mark Watson, Tim Key and Alex Horne based around questions and answers from AQA 63336.
In We Need Answers, contestants will have to answer the most bizarre, oddball and potentially unanswerable questions AQA 63336 receives from real people every day: "How much Dairy Lea would it take to fill the grand canyon?"; "How can I get my flatmate to do the washing up?"; "How many shoes are being worn in the world right now?".
Helping find the answers to these imponderables are celebrity guests who will face off in this most surreal of game shows. Guests on the first show include celebrated feminist Germaine Greer and current Children Laureate, the author and broadcaster Michael Rosen.
The 17 millionth question, asked at 8.36pm on Saturday 7th February, was "How far is it from bellamadina to marbaya and also how much is a jeep to rent for one day?" AQA 63336 texted back with "AQA: It's 22.75 miles from Benalmadena west along the coast to Marbella. Renting a Suzuki Jimny jeep is 141 euros per day from Costasur, tel +34902502641".
