63336 application designed to work on 40 million UK mobile phones.

63336, the UK's most accurate text question and answer service, has today launched a mobile phone application that provides a daily update to the most popular and entertaining items, based on questions texted to 63336, as well as allowing customers to more easily get answers to any question they want.
Designed to work on the majority of phones in the UK, key features of the 63336 app include:
- Ask Q: The app allows all customers to ask their first question for free, as well as ask questions at the normal rate of £1
- 63336 Buzz: a news feed that's updated regularly throughout the day. Compiled by top researchers from 63336, the feed highlights the most popular and entertaining items that people are asking questions about.
- Top 5: a daily updated list of the most interesting questions, facts and trivia texted to 63336.
- My Qs: customers can read and scroll through all of their previous questions and answers.
"63336 Buzz is a core feature of the 63336 app, giving you regularly updated entertaining content based on up to the minute questions being texted by everyone to 63336. The 63336 app makes it even easier to ask questions, and also allows you to view all of your previous questions and answers," said Paul Cockerton, Communications Director. "We've focused on releasing a Java version first, targeting 40 million mobile users in the UK."
How to download
To get the 63336 application, text APP to 63336 (costs £1) and you can download the 63336 application and ask your first three questions for free.
Technical & development details
The 63336 application is designed to run on Java–based mobile phones – of which there are an estimated 40 million in the UK. Versions for non–Java based phones are in development; an iPhone 63336 application will be available in December.
The 63336 app has been developed internally by Colly Myers, CEO and Bill Batchelor, Development Director. Colly and Bill have over 30 years experience developing software for mobile phones.
